Notification Of Annual General Meeting/Election 2006

 

The Executive Board of the Nigerian Air Traffic Controllers' Association (NATCA) at its last quarterly meeting decided that the Annual General Meeting for 2006 is to be held between April 21st and 23rd 2006 and notice is here given accordingly.

 

The theme of this year's conference, slated for Bauchi and tagged Bauchi 2006 shall be Consolidating The Past Gains And Charting A New Course For The Future.

 

The highlight of this year's AGM shall be the election of new executive board to run the affairs of our great professional Association for the next three years. Consequently, nominations are hereby invited for suitable candidates to fill the exalted positions.

 

Nomination forms shall be available for collection from the General Secretary from the 30th of January 2006. Request for the form could either be done by e-mail to

nigeria-atc@yahoo.com or by hand from the General Secretary. Nomination closes at 1200UTC on Monday 3rd of April 2006.

 

Similarly, scholarly papers on professional as well as technical matters are invited from controllers on the theme of the conference. Submission of such papers shall be only by e-mail to the above address or to atcokale@yahoo.co.uk reaching not later than 3rd of April 2006.

 

The Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Alhaji (Dr.) Adamu Muazu is expected to be Special Guest of Honour and shall deliver the keynote address and the Honorable Minister of Aviation Professor Babalola Borishade shall be the Distinguished Guest. The event is under the Chairmanship of the Managing Director/CE NAMA, Capt. Roland lyayi. The lead scholarly paper shall be delivered by NAMA's Director of Air Traffic Services (DATS) and a former president of our Association, Mr. Femi Oyediran on the Future of Air Navigation Services Provision in Nigeria.
